As a developer, I facilitated the conversion of 2D files from Global Brands into manufacturable operations for real-world, market-ready products. Responsibilities included testing, cost analysis, sample creation, and supplier coordination. Additionally, I supported the core team in product milestone development through leading supplier meetings, conducting cost breakdowns, and managing material libraries.
Furthermore, leveraging my innovation and design engineering background, I led 10 research and testing projects to improve and challenge the performance and credibility of football products.. For instance, one project involved building a dataset to compare how boot construction variables impacted performance stiffness. This included sample creation, conducting mechanical bending tests, and results analysis.
I also initiated an innovation project, developing a ""lacing toolbox"" to explain pattern construction, lacing patterns, lace positioning, and their impact on fit and visual appeal. This effort yielded six shoe prototypes, a mood board, a toolbox booklet, and a visual exhibit for office display, effectively sharing my findings with teams beyond the football category.
I collaborated both within and outside my retail category, aligning workflows and timelines across teams to explore new innovation areas in football. Stakeholders included Testing, Innovation, Knit, Makerlab, Athlete Science teams, and third-party international factory suppliers to accomplish my tasks.
