My role covered the entire product design process, focusing on testing assumptions and creating UIs. For a new feature (Comparison View) that facilitates behaviour profile comparisons amongst colleagues, I developed a colour system for different user types, ran internal A/B tests to determine content style and designed an intuitive UI. While developing Colleague Cards, a feature that helps users know who their colleagues are by showing glanceable profile information, I conducted external interviews to reveal pain points, developed variants of cards and refined the journey to edit profile information.
By providing users with a foundational product in a novel industry, I contributed to Thomas’ goals of having a category leading TIO product. The beta period for Colleague View featured a 58% uptake which demonstrated product-market fit. I contributed to increasing this number by delivering further UX enhancements which provides a strong basis for future features.
I&E assumption mapping skills were essential in defining opportunities, which allowed us to determine if we were addressing significant problems. I was also able to apply UI design skills, often considering type scale and responsive design to create professional standard visual designs. Overall, project management and iterative approaches helped me to consistently produce high quality deliverables and offer relevant insights.
