ARM, a leading semiconductor, and software design company revolutionises the technology sector by providing efficient, high-performance processor architecture and IP licensing solutions to power a diverse array of devices, like smartphones, household appliances, automotive systems, and data centres. A vital enabler of technological advancements and sustainable computing solutions.

My team, one of the Tech Communications team, generates content for Engineering groups (specs, manuals, API documentation), provides tailored infrastructure tools, digital services, content toolkits, and editorial and instructional design services.

Role and Contributions

I collaborated with a diverse team on various projects, including E-Draw image rectification, documentation alignment with review comments, and compiling comparison book maps and content deltas to create a comprehensive breakdown of content.

E-Draw is vital for our team. I rectified documentation images based on Application Engineers' feedback, creating new images, and replacing corrupted files, whilst proactively seeking input from colleagues facing similar challenges and integrating their solutions. My generated images will feature in the final documentation output. This experience enhanced my communication and problem-solving abilities, whilst developing technical proficiency on E-Draw.

Using my analytical skills, I offered fresh insights by identifying missing topics and helping implement review comments, which will be integrated into the documents for the next review stage. This sense of involvement made me an integral part of the team, actively correcting documents and sharing the workload with my colleagues, allowing me to fully embrace Arm's core values of culture and community during this project.

Creating content comparison maps enhanced my understanding of topic matter and developed skills in profiling and key analysis across different products. These maps also assist the team in visually interpreting unique, shared, and cloned topics, while the content delta delves deeply into profiling and key differences.
