Amazon Web Services (AWS) stands as a subsidiary under the Amazon umbrella, extending elastic and exceptionally resilient cloud computing resources and APIs to both the general populace and private corporations. Within the realm of technology, cloud computing emerges as a dynamic discipline in which remote servers, accessible through the internet, serve as platforms for securely and efficiently storing, computing, and processing data. Cloud service providers offer an extensive array of services, ranging from data storage in the cloud to crafting highly available global websites to hosting large-scale multiplayer video games.

Role and Contributions

In my first project, I designed a solution that consisted of creating an assessment tool used both internally and externally for individuals to evaluate their “landing zones”. The core of my project involved the strategic application of AWS's best practices for cloud migration. I crafted a series of checklists meticulously designed to evaluate the operational readiness of a user's cloud organization before deployment. This undertaking, intended for global implementation across our entire organization and its user base, demanded flexibility in its timeline due to the rigorous rounds of reviews, compliance checks, and regulatory approvals it underwent before publication.

In my second project, I undertook the development of a text-to-speech pipeline for a major airline, a critical component of their cutting-edge ""3D interactive experience for the airline's esteemed cabin crew"". Working closely with my partner, I had the valuable opportunity to apply teamwork skills honed during my tenure in Design Engineering. Our joint efforts included weekly presentations to both our manager and the broader team, enabling me to further refine my communication and collaboration abilities, skills that have proven invaluable during my time at AWS. This project presented me with a significant learning curve as I delved into Terraform, an infrastructure as code language utilized to construct the project's necessary infrastructure.
